For the March 2015 Brownbag, Sam Findley, instructor in CAMS at PSU-Altoona will discuss his experiences piloting the “gamification” of introductory Latin, along with a deck-building approach to teaching history through rhetoric. He will explore the positives and the pitfalls he experienced with both methods.

The session will also introduce unique work of the Pericles Group and Roger Travis in developing games for Latin and ancient history, review progress of different games in development for teaching Classical subjects and provide an opportunity to explore the CARD-tamen approach in other subjects.
